Chair, Rady Children's Hospital Foundation
Past President, Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary
Rady Children's is so much more than a hospital—it is a lifesaving organization with the power to improve kids’ lives and their futures. In addition to our annual giving, my husband, Craig, and I are including Rady Children's in our estate because we want to support these deserving children and wonderful programs even when we’re no longer around.
Years ago, I volunteered as a candy striper at what was then called Children’s Hospital, now Rady Children's. It was deeply meaningful work for me—and was the beginning of a lifelong passion for helping children.
When I heard about Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary in 2006, I knew I wanted to be part of it. As volunteers in the auxiliary, we advocate for the hospital, make connections with the community, fundraise and help behind the scenes in many ways. Over time, I’ve taken on leadership roles and have been able to give more of my time and resources.
Before I joined the auxiliary, I was a teacher for more than 20 years. My experience in the classroom and as a volunteer directly influenced my focus and passion toward the incredible developmental and behavioral health services that San Diego is so fortunate to have at Rady Children's.
I’ve seen life-changing, transformative care within these walls—including at Alexa’s PLAYC and KidSTART—and Craig and I have been inspired to support these programs with annual gifts for many years. I feel fortunate to be able to help the children who attend these developmental enhancement programs.
It truly is an honor to help in any way I can.
Like Bridgett and Craig, you, too, can help support the future of health care for children in our community through a gift in your estate. Please reach out to Elise Webster at 858-966-7537 or ewebster@rchsd.org to learn more.
